The Hitman's Bodyguard

Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds have a good chemistry together. If you know what I'm talking about, then you have probably seen the The Hitman's Bodyguard. They are pretty hilarious in that movie. Salma Hayek did a good job as well, she's really the right one in the movie. At age 50, she's still as sexy as her younger self back in the days. Although I haven't seen much of her older movies, I'm still a fan of her though.

Ryan Reynolds is really the right guy to play an action comedy movie. He makes me laugh so hard in every scene. The movie is really funny, I'm sure you guys will laugh too often while watching the movie. I can say that Hitman's Bodyguard is one of the funniest movie I have ever seen this year.

To those who haven't watched the movie, I suggest you watch it before it's too late. Soon it will be gone from the movie theaters.

Atomic Blonde

The first female movie I got to watch this year was the Ghost in the Shell and next is Atomic Blonde. I love watching females in action movies. I am a woman who admires badass women.

Charlize Theron is just great!  She can do both, pretty and badass, at the same time. The movie has its own style, a bit similar to the John Wick movie, due to the fact that both movies had the same director.

The movie's end is very entertaining, and the soundtrack is amazing. One more interesting part is the relationship between Charlize Theron's character and Sofia Boutella's character, who play lovers. That really did surprised me. LOL! I'm not used to see women making out. That was not bad at all, they are my idols. Sofia is a great dancer, and I've seen her in actions movies as well. She knows how to kick asses. This movie is all worth watching, but you should judge it yourself!

Good morning everyone! Finally we have class today. It means I need to come to school this afternoon to attend the class. I will be stuck in the classroom for few hours before the class is done. Tomorrow is my free day again, it's until Saturday morning. In the afternoon I will have a class.

I already have a plan for today. Once I'm out from school, I'll go and see the movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard". I was waiting for it to come out in the cinema. This movie will be the only English movie in the cinema here at Robinsons Mall in Tacloban. All other movies are Tagalog movies which I'm not interested in watching. We'll see if I still have enough time to watch a movie later. Have a blessed day to all!

Good Morning

Good morning everyone! I'm right now traveling back to the city. I don't have school because it is holiday in the Philippines today. No classes in all schools, and all offices closed, even though some shops are open. I have plenty of time, because even tomorrow I don't have class. Wednesday afternoon I should go to school to check whether we will have classes or not. Let's see if my teacher comes on that day.

Once I arrived in the City, I will directly go to Robinsons mall. I want to check which movie is out in the cinema. After that I will head back to my boarding house and rest. I'm kind of tired, maybe because I didn't have enough sleep lastnight. Good luck to all, and have a blessed day!

Another failed Hollywood marriage

Who would have thought that Chris Pratt's and Anna Faris' marriage would come to an end? I never expected this could happen. They looked good together on every occasion, they looked so happy and in love. It seems like there was nothing wrong with their relationship. I was shocked when I found out about their separation.

Chris Pratt is one of my Hollywood hottie crushes, but I know the fact that he was already taken and I'm happy about it somehow. I became an Anna Faris fan as well. I find his wife beautiful and funny. They're both comedians and I think that makes them compatible with each other. It's just sad for me to hear that they are no longer together. This issue is similar to Brad Pitt and Angelica Jolie. These couples are my favorite Hollywood celebrities and I wish them that they can get back with each other as good couple.

Spider-Man Homecoming

I saw the Spider-Man Homecoming on its first day in the cinema. It's already a while ago and I just forgot to write about the movie, but here it comes now:

I am a Spider-Man fan and I love Marvel heroes. But I must say I did not like the Spider-Man Homecoming. It was a disappointment. Sure, the movie has some laughters and funny scenes. But the movie seemed to me very childish. It shouldn't be like that. The main actor, Tom Holland, is indeed really young. The best character in the movie is his aunt May played by Maria Tomei, as she is hot and stole the show.

There must be another Spider-Man movie coming up within the next two years. Tom Holland for sure will aged a year by then. I hope he will look a bit mature by then. I'm not saying I would not watch the part 2 of the movie. It's just that I am hoping for more actions, and maturity in the movie. We will see by then.

Transformers - The Last Knight

I just watched "Transformers - The Last Knight". I did like the movie a lot. I think it was the best "bad ass robots" movie that I've watched this year. My only small disappointment was that Optimus Prime doesn't show up much in the movie. It was Bumblebee who was all over the movie, and he has more fight scenes than Optimus Prime. Despite all that, the movie was amazing.

Before I wasn't interested to any of Mark Wahlberg movies, but after watching Transformers. I started to like all his works. I searched for his movies and I will watch some more of his work.

I think this was the final part of the series. I don't think there will be another Transformers movie. How sad that I didn't get to watch the previous Transformers when it was released.

The Mummy

As I've said before, I was never a fan of Tom Cruise. I know he makes great movies, but when I go to the movie theater, I select movies where I like the main characters before I watch it. For his age, Tom Cruise is still a good looking Hollywood actor, but I think I like taller guys in the movies such as Chris Hemsworth or Chris Pratt. They are also a different generation of actors than Tom Cruise.

So yesterday afternoon I got out from school, then I directly went to Robinson mall. I had nothing to do and I was kind of bored, therefore I decided to watch a movie. There were not so many new movies on selection, as I have watched many already, so I ended up watching the movie The Mummy. Tom Cruise is one of the main characters, and I had a mixed feeling whether I would like that movie.

But I was wrong. Right from the beginning, I was captivated by the movie. It was a good movie and I liked the mummy Princess Ahmanet, the antagonist of the movie. At least I didn't feel like I wasted my money with the movie.

Wonder Woman

Just when I arrived in Tacloban, I decided to watch “Wonder Woman” yesterday. I’ve been waiting for the movie since the trailer was released. Glad I finally got to see it. Gal Gadot is so perfect for the role. She’s stunningly gorgeous. I have a crush on her as my most favorite Wonder Woman.

About the movie, it is yet another spectacular superhero action movie with lots of special effects. I like this kind of movies and I never get bored to watch them. Diana, the Wonder Woman, is an amazon from the island Themiscira, but she left her island and lives as normal person in Paris, France. She remembers the World War 1 when she was in London and involved in some spy drama. This drama is then the main part of the movie.

It was so entertaining that I didn't even want to leave the movie theater afterwards. I could have watched it just once again. But I did leave the cinema, because I had to go to the restroom, and there were no restroom inside the cinema.

Go and watch the movie! I hope you will feel like me, and you get dragged into the movie that you don't want to leave the cinema again. It is a nice movie. All thumbs up!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men tell no tales, is the fifth movie of the Jack Sparrow series. What can I say? I decided to watch it when my emotions were twisted, and at the end, this movie made me laugh and cheered my day. That's just great.

Movie critics might be negative about the movie repeating the same kind of story all over again (a young hero, a confident and combatant woman, and a caricature of a pirate fighting against several villains unfolding some magic in the sea), I will never get tired watching captain Jack Sparrow, indeed one of the best characters Disney has brought to life. Credit goes to the great actor and my idol Johnny Depp, who gives the character Jack Sparrow the funny magic that makes those movies so special. I watched most of his movie, kind of late, because so many of his movies have been out a long time ago, but still I get to watch them on DVD. He is a guy with a sense of humor, I love him for being a comedian on some of his movies. But, what I like amongst all his movies are the Pirates of the Caribbean series. I saw them all.

Now about the 5th pirates movie: the story connects to the first 3 movies, as the new young hero is Henry Turner, the son of Will Turner who was the lead in installement 1-3. His love interest is Carina, who is always accused to be a witch because she is smart and educated, and at the end it turns out she is the daughter of ... ok, I don't want to spoil you, let's just say, of some other old character of the series. We will get to see Orlando Bloom as Will Turner at the beginning and the end of the movie, and even Keira Kneightly playing his love intestest and now wife from round 1-3 is in a scene. Javier Bardem as villian is great, and the special effects that make his crew of dead people come alive is astonishing. It is a fun movie for a nice afternoon. Don't expect any depth or philosophical enlightening, but if you need some good entertainment, go and see the movie.

John Wick

Okay, today I am not doing a movie review. I am talking about the actor who plays John Wick. It is Keanu Charles Reeves. He is a Canadian actor, producer and musician. He is also famous for the Matrix movie franchise.

There is a viral message on Facebook that Keanu Reeves is a humble actor who lives a simple live instead of enjoying a luxury celebrity life, that he even rides on public trains with other regular passengers instead of using expensive limousines or sports car, and that he gave part of his personal money to the special effects and makeup artists that made his movies a success. There is also a video of him where we can see him sitting in the train, but when he saw a woman standing, the actor stood up to let the woman take the seat, like a true gentleman.

Honestly, I don't know whether those viral messages are true. Many viral threads on Facebook are false hoaxes or urban legends. But whether true or not, this message about Keanu Reeves is an inspiration for me, because I long for a humble life and do not need much luxury, and I want to help people around me, in particular my family.

There is one thing that I can say for sure: Keanu Reeves is a great actor. I have seen many of his movies, and I look forward to see more movies of him. Maybe John Wick 3 soon?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

Today, I watched Guardians of the Galaxy, volume 2. Compared to the first Guardians movie, I would say volume 2 is even better. This is a fun movie with lots of special effects, humor and action. Chris Pratt is handsome as ever and funny. He delivers his lines in a way that makes everyone laugh on every movie he been on. He is a very cool comedian.

The story is a father&son story with a twist. Starlord, played by Chris Pratt, finds his father, but his father is not what it first seems. The guardians with Gamora, Drax and Rocket ally with Yondu and Nebula that were their antagonists in the first movie. Mantis is another new member of the group and she somehow reminded me of a snail. Baby Groot steals every scene it is in, as this little guy/thing/plant/being is so adorable and funny with the only sentence it can speak: "I am Groot". And of course they all together do save the galaxy, again. Many hilarious scenes that I liked. I enjoyed watching everything. This movie is worth your time and money, and because of the special effects, is a must see in 3D.

The end of the movie indicates that there will be a volume 3. It is not clear when it will come out. I hope we don't have to wait too long. I love this style of movies. Guys, don't miss the movie, go watch it!

Watching Encantadia

Encantadia is a Fantaserye everyone loves to watch. Some people her in my province just bought a TV only to watch that serial or other teleseryes. The same holds for my own family.

It's been just a month since we applied for Gsat, a line where we can watch different channels. It wasn't too long ago when we only had a DVD player to watch movies, and no life television. But now we are no longer watching DVDs. This Gsat is better, and more fun although the risk is that the electricity bill gets higher when people watch more TV.

Back with Encantadia: I'm happy to watch it every night. I  can keep up to watch it while I'm on my summer break. This isn't the first Encantadia being sent on TV, but compared to the old ones, this 2017 remake is way better than ever.

Wonder Woman is coming

I just watched the Wonder Woman trailer, and it seems really interesting to watch this movie in cinema. I am a fan of Wonder Woman. I remember watching the cartoon comic when we got our first TV. That was long time ago when I was a little kid. Even now, I still watch cartoons. I think I have watched all the cartoon versions of Wonder Woman already. Wonder woman is also in the Marvel cartoon movie Justice League.

The was once an old TV series Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter. Of course, TV series are always more limited than cinema movies. Hence I hope this new version of Wonder Woman will be much better. Gal Gadot has the right body for Wonder Woman, and I think she is a bad ass girl, so she is suited for the role. I can't wait for this movie to come out. It gets released in June, so we still have a while to wait. But I am exited to watch the movie soon.

Logan in the Movies

My expectation about the Logan movie was high, and I wasn't mistaken. I watched it today and I loved all the action scenes, and I liked the characters of the movie. Dafne Keen as Laura is amazing, she's only 12 years old, but she is so convincing in the amazing fight scenes. I can already imagine that, with her acting skills, she will be in many more great movies in the future. Aside from that, she's adorable. I am so glad they made a movie like this.

Wolverine has always been one of my favorite amongst all x-men characters. Hugh Jackman did so well as a Wolverine, nothing can beat him. Logan dies in this movie, which makes me sad. I love to see more Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Who will be the next big x-men character? There must be a next one in line. Anyway, this movie is worth watching, for those who are huge X-men fans. The end of the movie is very emotional, you might get tears in your eyes seeing the  great Wolverine leaving his daughter Laura all alone in the world.

Movie Theater Trouble

Am I the only one who had trouble at the movie ticket counter today? I almost didn't make it to the cinema to watch "Fifty Shades Darker" as I didn't bring any ID with me, because I thought they wouldn't ask for it. I am already 23 years old, so I trusted that I look old enough. But I was wrong.

I was with my classmate, and we planned to watch the movie together. I met her at the front of the mall after I got my gifts. We went directly to the movie counter to buy tickets, but the movie sales lady asked me if I have an ID with me. She asked just me, not my classmate. I said, I'm sorry I don't have one here. She told me to ask the guards if they could let us in without ID before buying our tickets. The guards said no, they can't us inside without any proof of age. I was starting to get annoyed, but I tried to calm myself down. So I called my friend oversea by phone. He is in a different time zone, and I ringed him out of the bed, but I asked whether he has a picture of my passport. He should have since he did already book flights for me once. Luckily, he found some and sent them over the internet to me. Proudly, I showed that to the lady and we could finally buy the tickets.

So that's what going to happen if you're not tall enough for watching an adult movie. Better bring an ID next time just to be sure! And if you forgot, it is always good to have a friend who you can call for help! Thanks!

Assassin's Creed

Just got out from the cinema. The movie was great, and worth watching. I've got to watch it in the new cinema located at the third floor's extention of the Robinson mall. The new cinema is huge, and comfortable, unlike the old ones. Well, I'm not sure about cinema 7, since I've only been to cinema 6. It was crowded, most sits were occupied. This shows that the movie was good.

Back to the movie: This is the best movie I ever watched so far in 2017. Joke, well, it is true, since it is the only movie I have watched so far this year, hence it must also be the best. I like how the movie is filmed. Assassin's Creed was once only a computer game. I found this out a few years ago, and even watched videos in YouTube, still I never got enough. Glad they made it into reality, not just a game. I hope you guys will watch the movie too. If you're into a movie like that, then Assassin's Creed must not missed it in the cinema.

Movies

I wasn't in the city for a while. Many things happened while I was gone. I've missed few great movies already. Assassin Creed is now showing too, I've been waiting for it. Now it is finally showing in cinemas. One of these days I'll get to watch it.

I love to watch new movies in cinemas, when I don't have school and I'm bored and there is an interesting movie, I'll just buy ticket, and enjoy myself. Whenever I am watching, I don't usually buy popcorn or any kinds of food. I'm not really into eating when I am watching. Except for drinks. I sometimes get a soda for myself, but it rarely happens.

Some people are having problem watching movies alone. But I am fine with being alone. I can watch without companion, as long as I can afford to buy a ticket, then I'm cool with it. But I know people who doen't  enter cinemas when alone. They say it is not fun to watch without friends with them. So they miss many movies. But I see lots of movies alone.

Pinoy movies

This month I got to watch two movies already. One is The Super Parental Guardians, which is a Filipino movie, starring Coco Martin, and Vice Ganda. The movie is an action comedy. I guess it is fun watching it, but I am not really a huge fan of Filipino movies even though I am Pinay, and I was a little bit disappointed that the story was so ordinary. But it seems everybody else was happy about movie, so it's probably worth the movie time.

Maybe I expect too much from how the movie was made. I should not compare it to the Hollywood movies. Pinoy movies are on low budget compared to Hollywood, where movies can cost hundreds of million US dollars. Hollywood movies seems to be real, even when they use special effects when filming it. Their equipments are high tech. I wish someday Pinoy movies can be more realistic. Right now, movie with guys with super powers are the corniest movies here. The only reason why I sometimes watch Tagalog movies at cinema is when I bored, and got nothing to do, and there are no other choices of movies that I can watch.

Jack Reacher

Yesterday I watched the 'Jack Reacher' movie. This is my first time to watch a movie of Tom Cruise. I've never been a fan of the actor's movies before. I know his existence, and I heard of his movies, but never I have thought of watching any of his movies.

So, yesterday I got to see him in a movie. 'Jack Reacher' is a badass movie, and I liked it. He is an old man, but the way he moves and break his enemies' bodies, wow, that was just awesome. Don't think I like violence, just in movies it is ok, because I like action in movies. I think I am starting to like Tom Cruise. My mistakes for not watching his other movies before. Oh well, I guess I didn't like him before because I was more into young tall actors then, but I admit Tom Cruise is handsome in a different way, just an old short guy though. Oops! Sorry!
