Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn

The Philippines boxing champ Manny Pacquiao may have lost his fight against Jeff Horn this time, but the loss is discussed controversal by the sports expert. Many think that Pacquiao did the better punches. In any case, he will remain a legend in the boxing sport, due to so many previous wins.

I think the discussion should stop about his loss. He is only a human with no super powers. I hope you guys know that he may not always win. I'm sure Manny has accepted the fact that he lost this fight. Maybe there will be a rematch. In any case, we Filipino should be proud of him that he gave honor to our country.

Win or lose, Manny, you will remain a champion to me! You've fought, not just for yourself, but also for the country. You have won so many fights, that you have proven enough times that you are a true champion. Now it is time to focus on your senatorial job, where you have many political challenges to solve. I wish you that you win those kind of fights as well. Good luck!

Japanese Love Story

It seems every girl dreams to become a princess, but one is willing to give up her royal status just so she could mary a commoner. It shows that love is never deterred by anything in the world, even it is fame, inheritance, or popularity. Once someone catches our heart, it is really difficult to get out of that situation. We fall inlove, and once we are in love we fall deeply. That's normal to us as human being.

Back to the story that was recently in the news: It is about this Japanese princess Mako, a grandchild of Japan's Emperor Akihito. She had met her soul mate and they are now engaged. The Japanese Imperial Hosehold law dictates that she loses her royal status when marrying a commoner. Well, at least she can be with her love. She is in good hands, because the guy happened to be a lawyer. Isn't that great?

I have a thing for royalties. In fact when I was younger I loved to watch fairy tales. People said that I acted like a princess sometimes. Well, they say it even now, when they mean that I am stubborn. Lol. Anyway, I wish nothing but the best for the engaged couple.

The "War on Drugs" needs to stop

In earlier blogs, I have written already about the "War on Drugs" that the Duterte administration is fighting. At the beginning, I wasn't clear about it, but more and more I come to the conclusion that it needs to stop.

During that "war" from July 2016 until now, more than 7000 people died, including many innocent people. This is just too much. The killings must stop now. No matter how bad we are, we still have the desire to live in this world. We all deserve a second chance. Because we are humans, we make mistakes, but mistakes can be corrected.

Don't get me wrong: drugs are bad! But killing innocent people is worse. It is never justified to do worse in order to solve something bad. Most of all, the legal system must be obeyed, and the legal system of the Philippines does not know the dead penality. Hence, any action against drugs should not kill people. Killing is illegal.

I heard in the news that the number of people killed in police actions during this "war" went down now. I hope the killings will end soon. I don't say that we should not do anything against drugs, but I think there are other ways to solve the drug problem.

Tokhang Operations is back

It looks like Oplang Tokhang is on again. This is the police operation ordered by President Duterte to find and arrest drug users and drug dealers. The president ordered a stop of the operation recently, but now it will start again. The fear is again that innocents are going to die by the hands of these cops who don't have mercy for people. Even those who surrendered end up dead sometimes. I think every person deserves a second chance, no matter what mistakes were done. This holds also for drug users. But many police officers can't understand that.

However, a second chance does not come for free. First, anyone who uses or sells drugs must really stop doing it. If you don't stop, you don't deserve a second chance. Seriously, if you still want to live longer, but you're related to drugs, then you must quit to saves yourself. What can you get for using drugs anyway? It can only damage human's brain.

Free college

For students, Rodrigo Duterte's administration is the best amongst all the president I knew. He implemented a "no payment tuition fee" for all public universities and colleges. The costs are covered by an increase of the state budget for education. This means the Philippines government pays those schools. It's a relief for all parents who cannot afford expensive schools. They are no longer obligated to pay anything in school, except for pocket money. We must be thankful that this happens.

To all young people who eagerly want to study: Well, this year is your chance to enroll for free. This opportunity cannot be ignored. Study while there is a chance for you to study. Unfortunately, it does not hold for private schools. I am enrolled in ACLC, which is a private school where I have to pay each semester. Anyway, those who really want to go to college, this coming enrollment is your chance,  enroll, and study!

The Phillippines' Traffic Problem

Why is the traffic in some other countries lighter? Is it that because their driving skills is different? Or are their streets better? Or is it the number of cars that need to be lower? In many Western countries, the number of cars per 100 inhabitants is higher than in the Philippines, yet the traffic seems more cruel in the Philippines. It is one of the main problems here in the Philippines, especially in Manila. There are so many cars on the streets that you cannot go anywhere quicklym it will always take you long time. Workers sometimes arrive late at their work, because of traffic.

The president of the Philippines must work on this matter. I know there are solutions, it just needs a great leader to solve the traffic problem. He has done a lot in just a short period of time. Next should be the traffic problem on his agenda. I think if we have a new train system in Manila, traffic might get better.

I've been to a country which there is no traffic at all, the only time that the cars stop is when there is the signal light. It's the amazing country of Singapore. Plus, Singapore has an amazing underground train system (MRT). I hope Philippines can adopt some of Singapore's great policy.

Philippines National Police (PNP)

The PNP is a lot in the news lately when browsing the internet. And it is mostly not good news: Blaming, hating, shaming all of the PNP. I find it a bit unfair to those who are loyal and dedicated to their professions. Sure there are a couple of black sheeps, but I know there are still good cops around. Some police troops do big time wrong, and because of those, also the nicest cops get bad press on the net. And the common people can't be blamed for not trusting most cops nowadays.

As a person who knew a few good cops, of course I just can't let my thoughts pass without commenting on this matter. I have relatives who are cops, and I know they're not the same as the other cops who do cruel things for money. Cops must be respected, but only those who are worth of it.

I hope these bad cops will soon be gone, I hope they stop shaming themselves for money. If only they work and act as a true policemen then there would be no problem.

Christmas and New Year Explosives

I just found out that any kind of explosives are forbidden now. No wonder I haven't heard and seen any explosives ever since the "ber" months (Septem- to Decem-ber) have started. I think the newest president now enforces the law to stop it. Last year, when the previous president was still in office, this time of the year was already filled with party fireworks, but now it is pretty boring.

Although this is good for everyone, because explosives are dangerous. Last year, many died or got wounded by mishandling explosives, even small children who don't use explosive got killed. Glad the president take action against explosives. Christmas and New Year might be more boring, but at least it lowers the number of people to be harm.

Politics

Why is that some countries are favor of Rodrigo Duterte's regulation while other countries condem the situation in the Philippines? Some countries are impressed by his bravery to rule the country with strict decisions. Others see only some negative events that are exaggerated in some international press.

I am proud of Duterte and even if I disliked the killings against drugs, I still can see that in just couple of months he has done things that nobody would have ever done in the Philippines. We can see how Philippines is changing little by little. I voted for him because I thought he can be a good leader for the Philippines, and I wasn't wrong about it. I started to worry about every day's killings, but then again, I told myself that the bad guys get killed, in the attempt to stop them doing their illegal business. Nobody before dared to stop them, but Duterte does. It is time that we stop hating the president, because in the first place before he became the president of the Philippines we were told by him what he is going to do about these killers, drugs lords and drug users. He keeps his words!

Davao

I have heard that Davao is one of the best places in the Philippines. It is peaceful and clean, according to every netizen that goes there. But look what just happened? Davao is being bombed  by terrorists. Well, it's either terrorist or just people from Davao who are testing the President.

Of all the places here in the Philippines, why Davao? And it looks like the very first time that anybody would dare to bomb the city. President Duterte is from Davao and the people responsible for this explosion could possibly be against President Rodrigo Duterte's regulations. Maybe those people are drug lords who hate him for his regulations against drugs.

People must be careful. This can happen everywhere. I hope the people who got injured by this attack may recover ASAP. RIP to those who died from this cruelty!

Law and order

What's wrong with the law enforcement? It looks like it is becoming worse than ever. Where is the law for those innocent people who got killed these days? Isn't it unfair? They died without any proof that they commited a crime. Police men shot anybody they'd mistake for a drug pusher. Even those who surrender to them and beg in front of them, they shots them to death. They don't even realized they're doing it wrong. This is against the law.

Who's to blame with these killings? Isn't the person who is above us? This is becoming awful. I hope this craziness would stopped. Can we just catch these bad guys without killing either of them who surrender without fighting. Can we? Come on! They have the well to live in this world, not all but some or mostly would might changed.

The Philippiness politics on illegal drugs

According to the president of the Philippines, every politician who is involved in drugs will face charges and death. He says people who sell drugs have no right to live. There is news about killings of drug pushers all time right now.

In my opinion, I don't think it's right for him to approve the uncontrolled hunting and killing of those politicians, or even the other drug lords and drug users. They may do wrong, but still they have families that love them, that care for them, that would surely cry if ever they get killed. If I were the President, I would never order my men to kill every single drug pusher or drug lord, unless they fight against the ordinary people and the police. Because sometimes even those who surrender get killed. Which isn't fair. They deserve a trial, because even police men make mistakes sometimes and hunt after the wrong guy. Everything must go according to the law, that's why we have a law, to give every person a fair chance. But right now everything seems out of control.

Well, the President can still fix all this mess and I just hope for him to change his mind and his attitude somehow. Instead of letting so may people get killed, why not just capture them, give them a fair trial and lock them in jail. That's what would be correct according to the law.

Politics

Most of us voted for Rodrigo Duterte, that's why he became the president of the Philippines in 2016. Many of us adore him and admire every good things he does. So we voted for him to become the president, to replace Ninoy aquino.

But look at some of us who voted for him, getting mad by his terms of killing drug Lords and drugs addicts. Before we were so eager to have him to become our president, but look at us now. Regret is in our mind. I regret nothing and I have accepted his terms of ruling the country. And in fact we cannot do anything, he is now the President, we made him as one, So be happy and just watch what happens next.

President Duterte

As we have now a new president, we can see some of the places in the Philippines changing already. Just like Baclaran: before, Baclaran was really a huge mess, vendors were everywhere along the road, garbage was everywhere, sweaty and stinky. But now Baclaran is very clean, with wide space on the road, vendors are now at the very side and they don't just place their stuff everywhere.

It's really amazing how our new president is changing  the Philippines. He does it in the right way. He made sure all vendors can still sell their products. It's just been a month since he rule but look what he has done already. Isn't that amazing?

End of Ramadan

According to President Rodrigo Duterte, today is a holiday. He has Muslim blood in his veins so I guess to show his love for his Muslim brothers, he implemented Ramadan here in the Philippines.
I can see little by little how he's trying to solved the country's problems.

He started replacing those who he thinks are not good for the Philippines politics. Those who he think are corrupt are now gone. They are being kicked out from the Malacanang Palace. I bet they would be very mad to the president for removing them from their place. Well' I don't have complaints to the president, in fact I even Salute him for what he did to those corrupted Politicians. I am looking forward to what would President Rodrigo Duterte do next.

New President

I hereby let everyone know that former Davao mayor Rodrigo Duterte is now the newest president of the Philippines. He will be starting his job as President this month. I am looking forward to see what he will do in the future to make the country great and proud. With his simplicity, I just can't imagine what is his way of rolling the country. I don't consider him as a rich person, different to the rest that's in the politics, His character are way different than others. He might look scary in his aura of his face, but I believe there's good in him and that he will be one great leader to the Philippines. I hope! Let's see what's the best that he can do for his people. I am proud of you now, Mr. President, and I will be more proud to you if I see you doing everything you can just to help the country people.

Duterte

His Excellency, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines. Now that he is the newest president of the year I assume that he will do what's right for the country and to his people. I am one of those who voted for him because I believe in him and in his advocacy to make the country even better. Let's see what he got! Let's see if he is really different than the rest of the politicians, Davao, once the "murder capital of the Philippines, is nowadays one the of the best and safest cities of the Philippines and as a major there, it was under Rodrigo Roa Duterte's leadership. He ruled in the city for more than two decades, and now it's time for him to bring that to the whole country. Good Luck to the 16th president!

Presidential election

May 9th: No no no, it is no fun at all, this election! I am waiting in line, being roasted under the sun. Waiting already since hours. I can feel the heat on my skin. I am hearing people gossiping arount. I even smell strange people odor. Is that myself who is smelling? Oh well, I did shower before I came here.

Lots of people are here, waiting waiting waiting. You have to wait until it is your turn. I am still eager to vote, but all this waiting in the heat is no fun. I hope it is my turn soon. My dad can't write or read so I did help him to vote. I did the shading and signing for him.

Before election

May 5th: I can't wait for the election day to come! The election here in the province is kind of exciting. You wonder why? The election day is on April 9th: that's the day where you can choose who to vote for president, vice president, governor, vice governor, mayor, vice mayor and a lot more. Why is it fun to vote here in province? Because of the corruption! No joke, it is because most of these candidates give away money in every election. Isn't that fun? At least you have a reason to stay in the heat while voting. That's how it is here in the province: in order to win you'll need to give away money to a huge amount of people. This increases your chance that you get elected, because most people are poor and vote for whoever gives money to them. If the majority likes you and your services, then giving away money is just a bonus. But if you are just a nice and competent candidate without money, then you're still far from being elected. That's the fun of the election! ;-)

Politics

Politicians must live a simple life in order for them to understand the life of the poor and to be credible in their service to the people. They should start changing the life of the poor by not corrupting them, us. Because the majority of the Filipinos are average earner, changes must start from down to up. Politicians must join hand in hand and do there job as quickly as possible. Stop biting each other's neck. If you really love our country then do your job honestly. Vote for the most effective, honest, uncorrupt and who really wants a change. Vote wisely for the better Philippines!

If I were to vote for president I would vote for the only person that's on my head ever since I knew about him. No other than Rodrigo Duterte for president! I believed that he could be a great leader for the Philippines but it will only happen if everyone of us is smart enough to choose who really deserves to be president of this country.
